In the early 1990’s, Schugar became obsessed with religious texts from around the world. During this time he also fell into a trance stimulated by the controls of his recently purchased Emu ESI-32 Sampler. This thing had 10 buttons on the front that could be programmed to swirl in massively long loops around the audio field. The combination of exploring spirituality and enveloping the body in slow moving, swirling sounds lead to a whole new concept, Finding NoWhere.
Finding NoWhere’s debut release was initially scheduled to come out on Paul Akin’s Ugly Sound. Now you can find that release available here on Degrees Ov Separation.
